Production Operator/ Williamsport, MD, 3+ Months Contract

Job Title

3rd shift position, training on 1st shift for 6-8 weeks. 3rd shift hours 10 PM - 6:30 AM

Follow all safety rules and regulations of the site; actively participate in all aspects of the health, safety and environmental (HSE) process; operate all equipment in a safe manner; handle all raw materials in a proper manner; properly wear all required PPE; inform supervisor of any HSE issue.

Collecting the proper raw materials for upcoming batches from the warehouse and staging them in the proper areas.

Filling pre-weighs according to batch specifications.

Loading raw materials into various vessels.

Monitoring vital information and maintain cooking process within spec.

Performing the necessary testing protocol while batches are in process and on finished product.

Setting up transfer lines and pumping material to selected destinations throughout the facility.

Following procedures on the provided cook logs and instruction sheets.

Working with personnel in all areas of the plant to coordinate activities such as loading vessels, using transfer lines, shift change status and availability of equipment in order to keep production running as smooth as possible.

Cleaning up the plant to maintain a safe and organized environment.

Understanding of the warehouse and shipping / receiving responsibilities. Operators may be required to support and/or cover temporary vacancies.

Attend training sessions provided by the company.

Operate equipment and test finish product to ensure quality product is produced and shipped to customer; notify supervisor of any issue that may jeopardize quality.

Ensure honesty and integrity regarding all activities at the facility

Understanding of the basic operations and troubleshooting plant utilities

Execute assistance in other areas of operations when management deems it necessary

Contribute process improvement recommendations as opportunities arise

Perform any other activity or task that is deemed necessary by the management group

Mandatory Skills: ability to multitask, read and speak English, able to lift 50lbs unassisted; ability to learn and troubleshoot.
