Job Description

Under the general supervision of the Director of Clinical Services and/or the Senior Director of Ambulatory Services, the Clinical Nurse (RN) applies the nursing process to evaluate and provide patient care effectively. Responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care, all while ensuring compliance with nursing regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough health status assessments for patients and families through effective interviewing and physical assessment techniques.
• Utilize professional nursing judgment to perform a variety of procedures and treatments while prioritizing patient needs and workload demands.
• Provide comprehensive patient care showcasing nursing knowledge, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills. Recognize changes in patient conditions and act accordingly.
• Document all relevant patient data, assessment findings, interventions, and the patient's response accurately in medical records.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of care plans and modify accordingly based on patient responses to interventions.
• Deliver health education and counseling to patients and family members, advocating for their best interests.
• Assist clinicians during examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Support and guide staff members, serving as a nursing resource.
• Delegate tasks appropriately in alignment with nursing practice standards to ensure effective implementation of care plans.
• Foster team collaboration to meet the needs of patients and families.
• Encourage a work environment conducive to positive change initiatives.
• Participate in quality improvement activities aimed at enhancing patient care outcomes and promoting healthy team dynamics.

Qualifications

• A minimum of one year of nursing experience is required.
• Experience in a clinical practice setting is highly preferred.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• A valid New Hampshire Nursing License is required (verified via Nursys), with the option for candidates with pending licensure.
