Clinical Nurse (RN)

Job Title: Clinical Nurse (RN) Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Family Medicine Duration: Permanent Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM with possible schedule until 7:00 PM on Mondays and/or Wednesdays Experience: Minimum of one year experience in nursing preferred License: New Hampshire Nursing License (verified via Nursys) Certifications: AHA (BLS) Basic Life Support Must-Have: - Minimum of one year experience in nursing - Experience in a practice setting Description: The Clinical Nurse (RN) applies the nursing process when making nursing judgments and decisions specific to assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. The nurse is knowledgeable of and performs within the scope of practice as delineated by the state Board of Nursing. Effective interviewing and physical assessment skills are used to perform patient and family health status assessments. Data is collected and analyzed to identify needs, problems, and trends. The nurse renders appropriate nursing diagnoses and interventions, and evaluates patient responses to the plan of care. Professional nursing judgment is exercised when performing a broad range of procedures and treatments. Responsibilities include administering medications and prioritizing patient acuity and workload demands. Patient care is provided in a manner that demonstrates nursing knowledge, technical skills, critical thinking, and interpersonal competencies. The nurse recognizes changes in patient conditions and takes appropriate action. Acting as a role model in patient care is essential. Documentation in the patient's medical record includes all relevant data, nursing assessments, interventions, and patient responses. The nurse evaluates responses to interventions and the effectiveness of the plan of care. Health teaching and counseling are provided to defined groups or populations of patients and family members. The nurse advocates for patients and families, ensuring their best interests are met. Assistance is provided to clinicians during examinations, procedures, and treatments. The nurse guides other staff members and acts as a nursing resource. Duties are delegated appropriately, following nursing practice standards. Team collaboration is promoted to meet the needs of patients and families. A work environment fostering positive change initiatives is encouraged. Participation in identifying and implementing quality improvement activities that enhance patient care outcomes is essential.
