• Pay Range: $36.27-$50.92 per hour (Based on experience) + Benefits
• Weekend: None; holiday coverage may be required
• On-Call: None

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Family Medicine team in Newport, New Hampshire .

Under the general supervision of the Director of Clinical Services and/or Senior Director of Ambulatory Services, the Clinical Nurse (RN) provides high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in an outpatient practice setting. The RN will use the nursing process to assess patients, develop and implement appropriate plans of care, evaluate patient responses, provide education, and collaborate with providers and the healthcare team.

This is a full-time, Monday–Friday day-shift position with a standard schedule of 8:00 AM–5:00 PM . The schedule may extend until 7:00 PM on Mondays and/or Wednesdays based on clinic needs.

-> Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments in person and by telephone using effective interviewing and physical assessment skills.
• Collect and analyze physical and psychosocial patient information and identify patient needs, problems, and trends.
• Apply professional nursing judgment when assessing patient acuity, prioritizing workload, administering medications, and performing nursing procedures and treatments.
• Provide safe, compassionate patient care using nursing knowledge, technical skills, critical thinking, and effective communication.
• Recognize changes in a patient's condition and take appropriate clinical action.
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, patient instructions, telephone encounters, and patient/family responses in the medical record.
• Evaluate patient responses to interventions and adjust the plan of care as appropriate.
• Provide health education, counseling, and guidance to patients and families.
• Advocate for patients, families, and the community.
• Assist providers and clinicians with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Serve as a nursing resource and provide guidance to other members of the clinical team.
• Delegate appropriate duties in accordance with the New Hampshire Nurse Practice Act and professional nursing standards.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, medical assistants, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives designed to improve patient outcomes and clinical processes.
• Promote a positive, collaborative, and patient-centered work environment.
• Maintain compliance with applicable nursing standards, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

-> Required Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire – Required
• Compact RN license may be accepted , provided the candidate meets applicable New Hampshire requirements.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience – Required
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – Required
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, documentation, and patient-care skills.
• Ability to work effectively in an outpatient/clinical practice environment.

-> Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a physician practice, ambulatory clinic, family medicine, primary care, or outpatient setting .
• Experience with telephone triage and patient/family education.
• Experience assisting providers with examinations and outpatient procedures.
• Strong care coordination and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
• Experience with quality improvement initiatives.
