This Registered Nurse (RN) position in the Newport Health Center / New London Hospital Family Medicine outpatient clinic offers a permanent, full-time opportunity with no weekends or on-call duties. You will provide comprehensive nursing care in a family medicine setting, working closely with providers and clinical staff to support patient health through assessments, treatments, and education during regular day shifts.

Position: Permanent Registered Nurse (RN) – Clinic
Schedule: Days, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, 40 hrs/week
Possible: Monday/Wednesday shifts may extend until 7:00 PM
Weekend: None;
On-Call: None

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and nursing evaluations
• Provide medications, treatments, and nursing interventions
• Assist providers with examinations and procedures
• Conduct telephone and in-person patient triage
• Deliver patient and family education and counseling
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately
• Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition
• Coordinate care with providers and clinical staff
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Delegate tasks in accordance with the NH Nurse Practice Act

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year nursing experience
• Active New Hampshire RN license (compact license accepted; pending NH license considered)
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• License verification through Nursys

Pay

• Salary:  $36.27–$50.92/hour
