Job Title Travel Registered Nurse – Emergency Department Location Hickory, North Carolina Schedule / Job Type Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Hours per Week Guaranteed | Every Other Weekend Rotation Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care in a 32-bed Emergency Department serving a birth-to-death patient population Utilize critical care thinking and clinical skills to assess, plan, and implement care for emergency patients including stroke, STEMI, and trauma presentations Maintain patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:5 in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment Operate and monitor critical care equipment; document accurately using Cerner EHR Rotate float support to other units within areas of demonstrated competency as needed Adhere to call requirements, including potential push-back hours based on census Required Qualifications Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience Current ACLS certification required Current PALS or ENPC certification required Current NIHSS certification required Proficiency with Cerner EHR Strong patient and family communication skills with the ability to perform in a high-volume, fast-paced environment Preferred Experience / Skills Prior experience in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting Experience managing stroke, STEMI, and trauma patients Energetic, knowledgeable, and adaptable clinical demeanor Why Join Us Join a well-established regional medical center featuring specialized centers including a Brain Center, Heart Center, Cancer Center, and a Level 3 NICU, offering broad clinical exposure 36 guaranteed hours per week with a 13-week contract and structured orientation start dates available throughout the fall and winter of 2026 Concentric Healthcare Staffing Job ID 771679.
