SUMMARY:

We are seeking an energetic, creative, and highly motivated Marketing Communications Specialist to join our team at The Arc Gateway, Inc. This individual will play a vital role in strengthening the agency’s brand, promoting our mission and services, and developing impactful communication strategies that engage our community and increase awareness of the work we do. The ideal candidate will have proven experience developing effective marketing strategies and creating innovative content across print, web, and social media platforms. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Collaborate with management to develop and implement marketing and communication strategies that promote The Arc Gateway’s mission, programs, services, and enterprise operations.
• Develop and manage agency marketing plans, ensuring consistent branding and messaging across all communication channels.
• Create and coordinate engaging content for social media, newsletters, press releases, email campaigns, and other digital and print communications.
• Design innovative marketing, promotional, and special event materials, including brochures, flyers, advertisements, presentations, signage, and fundraising materials.
• Manage agency advertising, including content development, design, placement, and distribution of paid and donated advertisements.
• Assist with planning and coordinating fundraising, community engagement, and special events, including securing community speaking opportunities.
• Maintain a comprehensive photography library featuring clients, staff, board members, programs, products, and events for promotional and media use.
• Serve as the agency webmaster, ensuring website content is current, engaging, accessible, and optimized for search engines.
• Write, design, and publish the agency’s annual report and membership newsletter to support effective communication with donors, members, staff, and community stakeholders.
• Monitor market trends and competitive positioning to identify opportunities to strengthen the agency’s visibility and community presence.
• Serve as an agency spokesperson and brand ambassador, maintaining strong relationships with news media and promoting positive awareness through press releases, story pitches, and community outreach.
• Track and evaluate marketing and communication initiatives, analyzing engagement, effectiveness, and return on investment (ROI) to improve outreach strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be able to pass Level 2 fingerprint background check , ( Dept. of Children and Families abuse registry check, and local law enforcement check, Affidavit of Good Moral Character.
• Must pass a drug screen
• Must be 21 years of age , have valid driver's license, a good driving record and proof of vehicle insurance and registration with a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report.
• Maintain punctual attendance and report to work on time for all scheduled shifts. 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 3+ years’ experience in email marketing and social media marketing communications and graphic design with proven track record of success.
• Proficient working knowledge of MailChimp and/or Constant Contact. Experience with website CMS (such as WordPress), HTML, and SEO.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, After Effects, Premiere) and Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with analytics tools to measure campaign performance.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Ability to exercise judgement and work collaboratively independently/proactively and within a team environment. 
• Excellent multitasking skills and the ability to meet deadlines and budgets.
• Self-driven and resourceful to achieve goals independently as well as work well in groups. Demonstrated consistency, accuracy, and follow-through

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to run and interpret routine reports and write correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: 

• Successful completion of HIPAA and, Zero Tolerance certifications will be required. (This training is provided by the agency).

Full Time- Monday - Friday - 8am - 4pm - Ability to work flexible hours on occasion

$22.00 per hour
