Medical Director Veterinarian

Introduction
Our client is a hospital providing full-service veterinary care and is seeking a Medical Director Veterinarian to lead their clinical team. This community-focused practice has over 20 years of trusted service and is dedicated to strengthening the human-animal bond through high-quality medicine and client education.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm, Saturday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, and is closed on Sunday. This is a full-time position with weekend coverage on Saturdays as part of the rota. There are no after-hours requirements.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director Veterinarian will provide high-quality veterinary care while leading the clinical direction of the hospital. Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating patients, performing surgery, and maintaining high medical standards across the practice. The role also involves mentoring and developing the veterinary team, establishing medical protocols, monitoring clinical outcomes, and collaborating with hospital leadership to drive growth and improve performance. The Medical Director will ensure excellent client communication and foster a positive, collaborative culture within the team. This position is suited to an experienced veterinarian.

Practice Details
This is a full-service veterinary hospital with a strong community presence and a focus on bond-centered care and client education. The practice offers a wide range of services including urgent care, wellness exams, diagnostics, vaccinations, dental care, surgery, spays and neuters, on-site pharmacy services, end-of-life care, and puppy and kitten care. The hospital emphasizes a warm, collaborative environment where both clients and team members feel supported, and where continuous learning and growth are encouraged.

The team currently includes 1 DVM supported by a great tenured support team, creating a collaborative and supportive working environment.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
