We’re looking for a Lead Full Stack Developer to join our ever‑evolving Software Engineering Team and help shape the future of global commerce. In this role, you’ll serve as a technical leader responsible for building the scalable, secure, and high-performing applications that power critical payment and merchant experiences around the world. Your expertise will influence architecture decisions, engineering standards, and development practices while helping teams deliver innovative solutions that support Global Payments’ growth and technology transformation. Working across front-end, back-end, and data platforms, you’ll have the opportunity to mentor engineers, drive modernization initiatives, and create lasting impact through solutions that strengthen reliability, performance, and client value across our global ecosystem. What you’ll own Drive engineering excellence by establishing scalable architecture, development standards, and best practices that improve application quality, performance, and long-term maintainability. Deliver innovative full-stack solutions that transform complex business requirements into secure, reliable, and user-focused products that support business growth and client success. Influence technical direction by guiding architectural decisions across front-end, back-end, and data platforms, ensuring solutions are scalable, resilient, and aligned with strategic objectives. Accelerate team performance through technical leadership, mentorship, and code quality initiatives that strengthen engineering capabilities and improve delivery outcomes. Strengthen security and operational resilience by embedding secure development practices, optimizing system performance, and ensuring solutions meet Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance standards. What you’ll bring Proven experience leading the design and delivery of complex full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, React.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript in enterprise environments. Demonstrated ability to architect scalable solutions, solve complex technical challenges, and guide engineering teams through successful delivery in Agile environments. Strong expertise working with relational databases and data warehouses, including advanced Structured Query Language (SQL) development and performance optimization. Experience mentoring engineers, conducting code reviews, and influencing technical decisions that improve software quality and business outcomes. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with 6+ years of software engineering experience and 3+ years in a technical leadership capacity. It’s a bonus if you have Experience building and optimizing solutions on Snowflake, Oracle, or Microsoft SQL Server data platforms, including large‑scale reporting or data processing environments. Hands‑on experience with Apigee, continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and cloud‑native development practices. Experience within payments, merchant services, financial technology, or highly regulated environments where security, performance, and scalability are critical.
