What is the opportunity?

We are seeking a Product Owner to join our Information Technology team in Irving, TX. Through humanitarian work, the goal and purpose of Samaritan's Purse are to help people in Jesus' name and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

In the role of Product Owner , you will have the opportunity to:

• Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ
• Own and refine the product backlog by creating, sequencing, and prioritizing user stories based on ministry value, user insights, and strategic objectives, with clear acceptance criteria
• Evangelize the product and conduct user discovery to deeply understand needs, ensuring feedback is continuously integrated into the roadmap and backlog
• Mentor the Product Business Analyst on requirements gathering, user story development, and stakeholder analysis aligned with product vision
• Partner with UI/UX, QA, and development teams throughout sprints, providing direction, accepting or rejecting work, and redirecting when goals shift
• Lead planning activities, including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, demos, release planning, and communicate progress to IT leadership and stakeholders for transparency
• Other duties as assigned

What are the qualifications?

As a qualified candidate, you will have the following skills and experience:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5 or more years of related experience
• Thorough knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including Agile methodologies
• Comprehensive knowledge of customer-facing and data-centric digital products, particularly those supporting constituent management, engagement, or fundraising activities
• Strong knowledge of relational databases and enterprise systems, with the ability to analyze data structures and support data-driven decision-making
• Proven ability to work independently and thrive as a collaborative team member
• Thorough knowledge of software testing practices and techniques, including acceptance criteria, defect triage, and quality assurance processes
• Comprehensive knowledge of customer-facing and data-centric digital products
• 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (strongly preferred)
