Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing both standardized assessments and observational techniques.
Craft individualized treatment strategies aimed at meeting both immediate objectives and longer-term speech, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
Deliver personalized therapy sessions directed at improving areas such as communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
Collaborate intimately with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop synergistic care plans.
Educate patients and their families to encourage progress beyond therapy sessions.
Participate in intermittent inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity and support in care.
Ensure timely and accurate documentation adheres to state, federal, and organizational regulations.
Stay abreast of advancements in the field through ongoing education efforts and interaction with peers.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
Expertise in evidence-based therapy methods across all age groups, understanding both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing challenges.
Outstanding communication skills to connect with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
Adept at modifying therapy practices to cater to diverse cultural and linguistic contexts.
Sharp clinical judgment coupled with strong problem-solving skills.
Proficient in electronic medical records and documentation requirements.
