About the Bard Early Colleges Bard Early Colleges are tuition‑free, satellite campuses of Bard College that partner with public school systems to offer high‑school‑age students a credit‑bearing college course of study in the liberal arts and sciences during the 9th and 10th grades. Students receive instruction from college faculty and can earn up to 60 college credits and an Associate in Arts (A.A.) degree concurrently with their high school diploma. Position Duties The primary responsibilities of the Chemistry Laboratory Technician include ordering materials, preparing reagents and standardized solutions, setting up and supervising teaching laboratories, and maintaining laboratory equipment such as FT‑IR, rotary evaporator, pH meters, and a water purification system. The technician will supervise students during experiments, clean and maintain the teaching laboratory and prep room, manage an accurate chemical inventory, and perform routine equipment maintenance. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry (B.A. or B.S.)
