Chemistry and Science Laboratory Technician PT Main Campus Position Announcement Butler County Community College (BC3) is currently accepting applications for the position of Chemistry and Science Laboratory Technician. This is a regular part‑time position that will begin immediately. Flexible work schedule available to support the needs of the labs. Responsibilities Prepare materials and procure needed supplies for the Chemistry labs on Main Campus. Manage chemical stock. Assist the Coordinator of Science and Technology Labs in managing hazardous waste and maintaining safe working conditions. Maintain Chemistry’s SDS books and lists. Supervise student workers while in chemistry. Maintain organization and physical and chemical cleanliness. Arrange for repair of equipment. Provide needed or emergency coverage for Biology when possible. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related field from an accredited institution. At least one year of experience in chemistry or biology laboratory work. Valid driver’s license. Hourly rate will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
