Job Summary

We are seeking Electro-Mechanical Technicians to join the Ground Systems group in National Security. This team is responsible for manufacturing up-armed commercial vehicles for government clients. Technicians conduct preliminary diagnostic analysis of products for repair and/or troubleshooting using schematics, diagrams, and system knowledge. This is a 100% onsite role at the Hilliard, Ohio site. Core hours are Monday-Thursday, 6am-4:30pm ET.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates good mechanical and/or electrical aptitude.
• Has experience with automotive, truck or boat mechanics or electrical systems.
• Able to disassemble mechanical and electrical vehicle components.
• Able to install new mechanical and electrical vehicle components.
• Able to conceive of and prototype simple mechanical devices such as brackets, fixtures, etc.
• Demonstrates basic cutting, grinding, drilling skills and/or soldering, wiring, and electrical fabrication skills.
• Good problem solving skills.
• Works on assembly of products to meet defined schedule.
• Assembles pre-made mechanical components according to print, manual, or verbal instruction.
• Tracks performance by updating assigned metrics.
• May, train or guide staff with less experience in particular products.
• Follows released and standard procedures to assemble products.
• Conducts troubleshooting of parts and products using schematics and drawings.
• Takes direction from more senior staff.
• Demonstrates the ability to work independently and with limited supervision as needed.

Key Qualifications

High school diploma; with experience conducting related electrical/mechanical assembly tasks.

Salary & Compensation

Battelle is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role is $22-$25/hourly, in addition to our comprehensive benefits package. A candidate's salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to education, relevant work experience, skills and certifications. Salary ranges may vary based on geographic and market conditions.
