Special Educator:Evaluation Planning Team

Addison Central School District Special Educator: Evaluation Planning Team 2026-2027 Addison Central School District is seeking a Special Educator for the Evaluation and Planning Team for the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge base in Special Education law and Vermont regulations. strong organizational skills, be willing and able to think and act flexibly, and be able to handle a variety of tasks that are all important and timely. The ability to skillfully communicate with a variety of stakeholders- parents, teachers, Principals, and other members of the Evaluation and Planning Team is an essential component of this position. Responsibilities include the implementation of educational assessments, including scoring and analyzing the results; understanding and working with psychological reports to critically evaluate the results and implications of the results; attending all EPT meetings, with accurate and complete paperwork to support decision-making; reviewing and analyzing learning data to inform the team decision-making process; and the application of Vermont's Special Education regulations. Applicants must be reliable, flexible, patient, energetic, willing to learn new skills, and be passionate about working with and supporting students. Qualified applicants should have experience at the elementary and secondary level, have an understanding of standards-based instruction and a belief that each student can meet high expectations. Qualified candidates must hold a current Vermont teaching license with the pertinent endorsement.
