Overview Our Deloitte Strategy & Transactions (S&T) team helps guide clients through their most critical moments and transformational initiatives. The team works closely with clients at every stage of their journey, helping them navigate challenges, avoid financial pitfalls, and implement practical solutions before, during, and after major transformational projects or transactions creating lasting impact. Work you will do Are you interested in helping clients across the spectrum of asset managers and financial institutions address complex valuation, pricing, and credit questions? As a professional in our Portfolio Valuations practice, you\'ll work alongside experienced specialists to analyze illiquid and complex instruments, translate market and portfolio dynamics into defensible conclusions, and deliver audit-ready, decision-useful insights for stakeholders. As a Senior Consultant in our portfolio valuation practice, you will support teams and clients on complex valuation and credit matters for loan portfolios and debt investment funds. You will: Perform valuation and independent pricing analyses for illiquid assets and complex financial instruments (e.g., corporate credit, term loans, structured/securitized products, private equity and other alternatives) Build, review, and refine cash flow and valuation models, including documenting assumptions, limitations, and sensitivities Prepare audit-ready valuation documentation and workpapers and support financial reporting valuation needs (e.g., derivatives, debt instruments, employee stock option plans) Conduct credit and portfolio analysis (from tear sheets to in-depth valuation studies) and validate third-party manager reports and underlying data Advise clients on valuation implications for regulatory/compliance and other stakeholder needs, translating technical findings into clear, decision-useful insights Review junior staff work, manage day-to-day tasks, and communicate status/risks to the engagement lead The team Our Valuation & Modeling team provides financial modeling for business planning, transactions, and operational improvements. We conduct valuation for tax purposes, regulatory compliance, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), litigation, bankruptcy, and risk management. Additionally, we support audit processes with fair value measurements. Deloitte\'s portfolio valuation services undertakes debt valuations for some of the largest global asset managers and financial institutions, advising clients on either standalone transactions or on a periodic basis. As part of our debt valuation work, the team values private debt, structured products, loan portfolios (corporate, residential mortgage, credit card), commercial real estate (CRE) debt and assets, residential mortgage pools, stressed and distressed assets, intercompany trades, and private equity, among other asset classes. Globally, Deloitte assesses valuations for 26% of the top 50 global asset managers and serves nearly 50% of the top 50 real estate companies by revenue. Qualifications Required: Bachelor\'s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business (or equivalent) 3+ years of experience in valuation consulting (business and/or intangible assets) 2+ years of experience valuing debt, equity, and/or structured securities 2+ years of experience in credit and/or portfolio analysis Demonstrated application of generally accepted valuation approaches (cost, market, income) and common methodologies (e.g., discounted cash flow, guideline public company/transaction, relief from royalty, excess earnings) Hands-on experience developing financial models to value common stock, business entities, and/or intangible assets, including financial statement analysis and supportable assumption development Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, including Excel-based modeling Limited sponsorship may be available Preferred: Master\'s degree in Finance CFA Direct experience with structured/securitized products valuation/pricing (e.g., ABS, CLO, CMBS, RMBS) Experience supporting financial reporting valuations and producing audit-ready valuation workpapers Experience with tax-related valuations, including purchase price allocation support for tax purposes Experience reviewing/authoring valuation reports and client deliverables (reports, exhibits, letters) Experience assessing LP fee agreements and/or validating third-party manager reports in an alternatives context Compensation and accommodations The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $97,900 to $163,100. You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
