Manager Accountant, Tax

Overview:We have a tremendous opportunity for a Manager Accountant to play a key role on our Tax team. We have openings for candidates residing in and around Albany, New York. As a highly valued member of our Firm, you will work closely with the Tax team to provide timely, accurate, and reliable completion of client engagements. Responsibilities:Prepare and/or review complex business and individual tax returnsDevelop effective working relationships with clients to provide innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance servicesAbility to identify and research tax issues, develop resolutions, and prepare written conclusionsAssist with the developing, training and mentoring of staff and internsRecognize the opportunity to provide new and innovative servicesWillingness to learn new tax skills that the diverse client base at The Bonadio Group offers.Required Qualifications:A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in accounting An active CPA certification or EA licensureA minimum of five years of tax experience in a public accounting firm or equivalent experienceAbility and willingness to travelProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite with aptitude to learn firm technology, present and futureHours of Operation:Our office hours are from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through FridayOur summer hours are from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, with Flex Friday scheduling available in accordance with firm policy and business needsWe pride ourselves on our flexibility; however, the ability to work additional hours will be needed at peak timesAt The Bonadio Group, we believe that an inclusive work environment allows all of our people to achieve their greatest potential and the greatest results for our clients and communities.
