Accounting Manager

Our Accounting Manager will play a critical role in maintaining the financial health of the agency, ensuring seamless financial operations, and supporting our leadership team with accurate reporting and insights. Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes. Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness. Assist with budgeting and forecasting. Manage the month-end and year-end close processes. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local corporate, payroll, and other applicable taxes. Assist with the management of the company’s financial operations and reporting. Manage payroll processing and related activities, including onboarding and offboarding. Maintain and ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and procedures. Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance. Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department. Provide training to new and existing staff as needed. Handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a marketing agency environment. Proficiency in Workamajig is highly desirable. Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to take initiative and work independently. Experience managing various workload volumes and meeting tight deadlines. Proficiency in Google Spreadsheets and QuickBooks. Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately. Benefits: 401(k) plan with company contribution.
