Position: Project Manager / Resident Engineer (Civil / Electrical Experience) Location: Forest Hills, NY Remote Status: On‑Site Job Id: 1405-706Marine-2025 # of Openings: 1 Overview Tectonic is seeking highly qualified and experienced Project Managers / Resident Engineers to oversee the stabilization and reconstruction of the East River Esplanade and the reconstruction of the Hammond Cove Marina. Responsibilities Essential functions of this position include overseeing the entire project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with specifications, timelines, and budgets. Coordinating with contractors and stakeholders, monitoring schedules, and presenting status reports. Conducting field inspections, supervising pile driving, and inspecting mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for compliance. Providing technical guidance, reviewing submissions, and resolving issues. Liaising with our Client and other agencies, facilitating communication and resolving conflicts, as well as performing all other related duties as required. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Minimum of 10 years of hands‑on experience in heavy construction and electrical systems, with demonstrated experience working on NYC Parks projects. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as strong analytical skills. Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to utilize any project‑related software. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to the project site. Physical Requirements While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is frequently required to assume a stationary position, handle, inspect, and/or feel documents, materials and/or equipment relevant to the job and communicate about them. The employee will also need to process manual and/or computer generated reports, and will be required to communicate via the Corporate e‑mail and telephone systems. They are occasionally required to move around on the job‑site, including ascending or descending on the landscape or on a ladder, and positioning themselves appropriately to access necessary testing materials and equipment; they are sometimes required to do so in hazardous conditions, such as in rain or snow. The employee must regularly lift and/or move equipment and materials up to 25 lbs. This position may require sometimes operating a motor‑vehicle, which may require assuming a stationary position for extended periods of time.
