Phlebotomist

Labcorp is a leader in diagnostics, drug development and healthcare innovation. We are seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Pooler, GA. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information accurately and promptly. Process billing information and collect payments. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED or equivalent. Phlebotomy certification or completed training program. At least 3 months experience as a phlebotomist. Preferred Qualifications 6 months or more experience as a phlebotomist. Additional Job Standards Phlebotomy certification must come from an accredited agency. Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Reliable transportation. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Able to pass a standardized color blindness test. Benefits Employees scheduled to work 20+ hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, STD/LTD, 401(k), paid time off (PTO) or flexible time off (FTO), tuition reimbursement, and employee stock purchase plan. Employees scheduled to work less than 20 hours, casual, intern, and temporary employees are eligible only for the 401(k) plan. Employees on a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible for all foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO. Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the PST incentive plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
