Registered Nurse - Med/Surg

Roles & Responsibilities Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for managing patient care on the Inpatient Unit by applying the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient outcomes. Qualifications & Requirements Graduate of an accredited nursing education program and holds a current license as a Registered Professional Nurse in NYS. Previous experience as a Registered Professional Nurse preferred. High level of interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, staff and management. Self-motivated and able to work outside normal hours to meet volume demands. Training and competency in attending to special needs or age-appropriate behavior of patients. Ability to collaborate with other health personnel. Strong organizational skills. Current RN licensure recognized by the State of New York required. Appropriate experience in a specific clinical area. Varies by unit.
