Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients through standardized assessments and careful observations.
• Craft individualized therapy plans that cater to immediate goals as well as the long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs of your patients.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions targeting communication, language, fluency, voice clarity, and swallowing techniques.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and family members to create integrated care strategies.
• Educate patients and their families on techniques to support progress beyond the clinical setting.
• Participate in the occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless care throughout the patient's journey.
• Maintain detailed and timely documentation that complies with state, federal, and organizational policies.
• Continue professional development through ongoing education and engaging with peers in your field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet obtained.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Therapist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of starting employment.
