Position: Cardiac Cath Lab Technician (Cath Lab Tech)

Location: McAllen, TX (STHS McAllen Heart Hospital)

Contract Length: 13 Weeks (06/08/2026 – 09/05/2026)

Shift: Days, 5x8s (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, 40 hrs/week)

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab and/or Electrophysiology experience
• Experience scrubbing and monitoring procedures required
• Experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiac & vascular procedures
• Peripheral and coronary procedure experience required
• Structural heart experience is a plus

Education

• Degree in related field (AA/BS/BA) or equivalent experience required

Certifications & Licensure

• RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) or RAD (Radiologic Technologist) – Required
• AHA BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

Additional Requirements

• Must live at least 50 miles away from the facility
• Call requirement: ~1 day/week 1 weekend/month
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment

Role Responsibilities

• Assist in invasive cardiac and vascular diagnostic/interventional procedures
• Perform scrub and monitoring duties in Cath Lab
• Operate radiology imaging and catheterization equipment
• Support multidisciplinary team in patient care
• Maintain patient safety, confidentiality, and procedural accuracy
