Neonatologist
Pediatrix & Obstetrix
Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking an experienced, Board Certified neonatologist for a per diem opportunity in Syracuse, NY. This role involves providing high-quality care in a physician-friendly, team-oriented environment at St. Joseph's Health Hospital and Upstate Community Hospital. The position offers an excellent chance to contribute to two premier healthcare facilities in Central New York.
Practice Info
- St. Joseph's Health Hospital features a 14-bed Level III NICU with 24/7 in-house APP coverage, where physicians take call from home.
- Approximately 1800 deliveries annually with 200+ NICU admissions at St. Joseph's Health Hospital.
- Subspecialty support is available through SUNY Upstate and associated groups at St. Joseph's Health Hospital.
- Upstate Community Hospital has 21 couplet care/postpartum rooms and 6 extra care nursery beds.
- Upstate Community Hospital provides 24/7 in-house APP coverage with NICU specialized nursing, and physician call from home.
- Approximately 1000 deliveries annually at Upstate Community Hospital, caring for infants 34+ weeks and those requiring oxygen, HFNC, or gavage feeding.
Responsibilities
- Provide per diem coverage as a neonatologist.
- Provide high quality care at St. Joseph's Health Hospital and Upstate Community Hospital.
- Perform daytime rounding in-house at either the Level 1 or Level 3 Monday-Friday.
- Take out of house call for 14 hours for both units Monday-Thursday.
- Provide Friday-Sunday call for both units as the same provider for all 3 days.
- Perform Saturday-Sunday in-house rounding on both units.
Compensation
- Competitive compensation package.
Shift & Schedule
- Per Diem coverage is intermittent.
- Coverage need from October 11-14.
Requirements
- Board Certification in Neonatology with recent experience required.
- Active NY license or Active IMLC required.
