We are seeking a hardworking, self‑motivated paralegal/legal assistant who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of disabled veterans to join our team. Job Responsibilities Reviewing VA decisions (by mail and virtually) with high levels of detail to determine next steps. Conducting thorough analysis of veteran case files and relevant documentation to help prepare a legal gameplan. Maintaining thorough notes and files physically and in case management software. Writing legal briefs and arguments to support the appeals of veteran disability claims at all levels. Staying informed about changes to VA regulations and policies that may impact veterans' eligibility for benefits, and communicating updates to veterans as needed. Qualifications Genuine passion for helping disabled veterans and making a positive impact in their lives. Previous experience in the legal environment, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment. Self‑motivated and results‑oriented, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Comfortable working in‑office and remotely with access to reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace.
