This individual must be able to provide day and evening schedule, rotating weekends and scheduled holidays.The medical unit, part of the teaching service at MGH, is a twenty-four bed acute unit, located in the historic White Building in Boston, MA. The patients on this unit represent a vast adult population with a wide range of complex medical problems including cardiovascular, pulmonary, endocrine, neurological, psychosocial and infectious disease. Also assists with taking patients' temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.Does this position require Patient Care?YesEssential Functions-Performs patient care-related duties and clinical functions as assigned, including, but not limited to, performing and documenting point of care, vital signs, EKGs, bathing and other sanitary needs of patients, transferring and assisting with ambulation of patients, 1:1 patient observation for safety purposes, and phlebotomy.
