About the Position

Job Title: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years minimum License: Any active state RN or compact license accepted Certifications: BLS certification, NRP certification, EFM-NCC or AWHONN required Must-Have: Traveler’s permanent address must be greater than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible to apply. Must be able to float between other women's health departments. Description: The maternity team at this facility has delivered more than 6,000 babies per year. This facility is a level II trauma center with a level III maternity unit. The unit has 20 labor and delivery rooms, 7 triage rooms, 4 PACU beds, and 3 operating rooms. The RN to patient ratio follows recommended staffing guidelines. Staffing ratios may flex depending on labor situations. Candidates must have experience with the CareConnect (EPIC EMR) system. Scrubs will be provided by the department. Attendance is essential; more than one call-off may result in termination. Every other weekend and every other holiday are required. Candidates must complete lab work and an EKG/Dysrhythmia exam within specific timeframes before starting. Travelers are prioritized for floating within the department. No time off is allowed during the initial weeks of the assignment.
