AVP, C&I Underwriter

The Role The AVP, C&I Underwriter will be responsible for underwriting and structuring credit transactions for middle market commercial clients. This individual will work closely with Relationship Managers, Portfolio Managers, and senior credit leadership to evaluate risk, support deal execution, and maintain credit quality across the portfolio. Key Responsibilities Underwrite new money and renewal transactions for C&I clients, including revolvers, term loans, and working capital facilities Analyze financial statements, cash flow, collateral, and industry trends to assess borrower creditworthiness Prepare detailed credit approval memos and risk ratings in line with internal credit policy Structure transactions with appropriate covenants, pricing, and collateral to mitigate risk Partner with Relationship Managers on client calls and deal discussions as needed Monitor existing portfolio credits, including annual reviews, amendments, and ongoing risk assessment Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal underwriting standards Qualifications 2+ years of C&I underwriting experience within a bank or financial institution Strong credit analysis skills, including cash flow modeling and financial statement analysis Familiarity with a range of industries (manufacturing, distribution, services, etc.) Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to credit committees Bachelor’s degree required; finance, accounting, or related field preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr JCW Group
