Hiring Department Department of Surgery - Research The Department of Surgery at the University of Missouri is seeking motivated and detail-oriented Research Technicians to join the laboratory of Dr. Shiyou Chen. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and productive research environment focused on advancing scientific discovery. Responsibilities The Research Technician will play a key role in supporting daily laboratory operations and assisting with a variety of ongoing research projects. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Conducting experiments and collecting data Assisting with the preparation of research reports Managing mouse colonies and perform genotyping Performing molecular biology techniques such as Western blotting, PCR, and immunostaining Processing mouse tissues and conducting histological analyses Preparing reagents and maintaining cell cultures Capturing, analyzing, and/or managing data sets Ensuring proper disposal of laboratory waste and maintaining a clean, safe lab environment This position offers an excellent opportunity for hands-on experience in a collaborative research setting and is ideal for individuals interested in biomedical research and laboratory science. Shift Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Minimum Qualifications A high school diploma or an equivalent combination of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary Anticipated Hiring Range Salary Range: $15.00 - $17.00 hourly Grade: GGS - 004 University Title: RESEARCH/LAB TECHNICIAN Internal applicants can determine their university title by accessing the Talent Profile tile in myHR.
