Job Description
This role focuses on assembling subcomponents and finished products, primarily involving sheet metal plates in a fast-paced production environment. You will work closely with a partner to meet daily production goals while using hand tools, power tools, and overhead cranes. Work Environment
This position is on second shift, typically working Monday through Friday from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM (listed as 2:00 PM to 10:39 PM), with the possibility of working until approximately 11:30 PM and occasional Saturday overtime from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The facility operates multiple shifts, including a first shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM with potential overtime until 4:30 PM. The manufacturing floor is clean, organized, and large, with clearly labeled sections based on materials and production stages. The environment is fast-paced and production-focused, requiring frequent lifting, climbing, standing, walking, and reaching for extended periods. Employees regularly use hand tools, power tools, tape measures, and overhead cranes to assemble and move products. The facility emphasizes neatness, organization, and adherence to 5S principles, providing a structured and safe work setting.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.75 - $19.75/hr.

Job Description

Responsibilities
- Assemble subcomponents and finished products using established processes and work instructions.
- Assemble and fit metal products using hand tools and power tools to ensure proper alignment and fit.
- Review and interpret assembly drawings and diagrams to determine required parts, quantities, and proper placement.
- Operate an overhead crane to move larger units safely and efficiently during assembly.
- Use tape measures, schematics, and blueprints to verify dimensions and ensure correct assembly.
- Lift components weighing 60 lbs or more to fit products together as needed during the build process.
- Collaborate with one team member to fulfill daily product orders and meet production targets.
- Perform regular lifting, climbing, standing, walking, and arm extension for extended periods during the shift.
- Use hands frequently to operate hand tools, power tools, and related equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area in alignment with 5S and facility standards.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while operating tools, equipment, and overhead cranes.
- Experience assembling products using hand tools and power tools in a manufacturing or similar environment.
- Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
- Proficiency using tape measures and basic measuring tools to verify dimensions and part placement.
- Ability to operate an overhead crane to move and position larger units safely.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced production and assembly environment with defined output goals.
- Capability to lift 50 lbs or more (40 lbs+ independently) on a regular basis.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting, climbing, standing, walking, and reaching for extended periods of time.
- Skill in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively throughout the shift.
- High school diploma or GED, or willingness to obtain a GED within a specified timeframe after conversion to permanent employment.
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to follow detailed instructions and processes accurately.
- Interest in developing into a unit builder role over time with training and guidance.
- Experience working with metal components, sheet metal plates, or similar materials.
- Familiarity with 5S or other workplace organization and continuous improvement practices.
- Willingness to participate in a structured training program with a dedicated trainer.
- Motivation to pursue additional education, such as completing a GED through a company-funded program.
