TactStaff EDU is hiring a School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT) for a full-time, onsite position in Southern Michigan for the 20262027 school year. This is an exciting leadership opportunity supporting students in a center-based special education program while supervising two Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs).

Position Details

• Schedule: Full-Time | Onsite
• Setting: Center-Based Special Education Program
• Compensation: $60$68/hour (W2), based on experience

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy evaluations, treatment, and consultation for students with a variety of disabilities.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans and measurable IEP goals.
• Supervise and mentor two Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs).
• Collaborate with special education teachers, speech-language pathologists, physical therapists, school psychologists, and families.
• Conduct assessments, document student progress, and maintain compliant special education records.
• Recommend adaptive equipment, classroom supports, and strategies that promote student independence and participation.
• Support students fine motor, sensory processing, visual motor, self-care, and functional school skills.

Qualifications

• Active Michigan Occupational Therapist License (or ability to obtain before the start of employment).
• NBCOT certification.
• Previous pediatric or school-based occupational therapy experience preferred.
• Experience with IEPs, multidisciplinary collaboration, and supervising support staff is a plus.
• Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
