What You'll Do:

• Assist in grossing and processing surgical pathology specimens, primarily benign lesions and some cancer resections
• Select tissue for research, karyotyping, and biopsies from POCs
• Support procurement activities and participate in case workup as needed
• Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure accurate specimen handling and documentation
• Work in our Doan lab that serves specimens from University Hospital OR

What You Need:

• Required:
• PA certification (ASCP)
• 1+ years of pathology assistant experience recommended
• Preferred:
• Experience working with benign and malignant tissue specimens
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced laboratory environment

About the Assignment:

This role is based in our Doan laboratory, which handles specimens primarily from our University Hospital Operating Room. The focus is on benign lesion grossing, biopsies, and some cancer resections. There may be opportunities to support research activities and assist with procurement processes. The position is ideal for professionals seeking a temporary but impactful role within a dedicated lab team.
