The Patent Agent position involves advising clients on the development and management of their intellectual property portfolios across cutting-edge technologies such as cloud computing, AI, digital imaging, wireless communications, autonomous vehicles, and more. The role requires drafting and prosecuting patent applications, responding to office actions from the USPTO and other patent offices, and collaborating closely with diverse clients, including Fortune 100 companies, startups, and academic institutions. Candidates should have at least three years of patent prosecution experience, a degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science, and USPTO registration. A background in software coding or programming, especially with AI, is preferred. The successful applicant must possess strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to assume responsibility quickly within a collaborative environment. The position offers an annual salary range of $125,000 to $250,000, with opportunities to work in various prominent office locations, including Atlanta, Washington D.C., San Francisco, Silicon Valley, San Diego, New York, Houston, Chicago, or Austin.
