About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with a strong background in affordable housing, governmental, or complex public-sector finance to serve as its chief financial strategist and trusted advisor. The CFO will be responsible for executive leadership in a range of financial areas, including budgeting, accounting, financial reporting, redevelopment financing, internal controls, procurement, grants management, and regulatory compliance. This pivotal role demands a visionary finance executive with the technical expertise to navigate complex financial matters and a commitment to organizational excellence. The successful candidate will be instrumental in supporting major redevelopment initiatives and ensuring the long-term financial strength and sustainability of the organization. Applicants for the CFO position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, a CPA certification, and a minimum of 10-15 years of progressively responsible financial leadership experience. Extensive experience in affordable housing, governmental finance, or complex real estate finance is essential, as is a proven track record in areas such as budgeting, auditing, grants management, and HUD compliance. The ideal candidate will be familiar with complex property redevelopment financing, have excellent analytical and communication skills, and be adept at leading and developing high-performing finance teams. A Master’s degree and experience in financial systems and technology improvements, as well as a background in supporting large-scale redevelopment initiatives, are preferred qualifications.
