Responsibilities Underwriting new and renewal business to help drive the profitable growth of our Power and Utility segment. Assess desirability of risk through regular contact with brokers, close coordination with AIG subject matter experts, and robust reviews of claims history and general company information. Provide excellent service to brokers through a consistent, timely, and proactive approach; generate new business by expanding broker network, attending broker events, and building new relationships across the market in line with a sales plan established with your manager. Provide accurate monthly management information including submissions, bind rate, average premium, and total premium. Qualifications 3+ years in underwriting experience is preferred. Ability to analyze financial statements. Strong communication, networking, and relationship building skills. Good organizational and time management skills. Customer and sales oriented behaviors: motivated, tenacious, focused, technically skilled, proactive, and accountable. Compensation & Benefits For positions based in Illinois, the base salary range is $84,000–$111,000 and the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
