Classified Vacancy Security Officer, part-time – 10 month work year Hours vary depending on location (days and evenings are possible). Part‑time positions receive paid personal and leave days and are eligible for membership in the NYS Retirement System. Graduation and Experience Requirements Graduation from high school and 60 semester credit hours from a regionally accredited institution or NYS college with a major in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement or Police Science; or one year experience as a security guard, military policeman or law enforcement. Special Requirements Registration as a security guard by the NYS Division of Licensing Services and completion of an eight‑hour training course pursuant to Article 7 and 7A General Business Law.
