Emergency Veterinarian - Ethos ER Immerse Mentorship ProgramAnimal Emergency & Specialty Hospital is seeking veterinarians passionate about working in emergency medicine for our 12-month training and mentorship program. We are looking for individuals who are team oriented, driven, reflective, and reliable to train with us and transition into an ER position with AESH.What Makes Our Program UniqueFor the first 8–10 weeks, you will be paired with a dedicated doctor who does not see their own cases but instead focuses solely on supporting you through yours. You will be matched with a primary mentor who provides guidance both during and outside of clinical shifts throughout the year. Mentees rotate through each specialty service to gain well-rounded knowledge and build collaborative relationships. You will manage real cases with direct supervision, supported by a collegial team committed to best patient outcomes. The program includes monthly virtual rounds with other Ethos mentees, as well as VetBloom training modules to strengthen medical knowledge and decision-making. Experienced technicians and assistants complete a structured multi-phase training program, ensuring excellent patient care and seamless support for our doctors.The Ethos ER Immerse Training ProgramThe ER Immerse Program will prepare veterinarians for a sustainable and satisfying career in emergency medicine. Built from the ground up to be different than traditional rotating internship programs, the ERi program has been developed around a curriculum of core competencies essential for an emergency veterinarian. In addition to providing training around clinical knowledge and skills, the program also includes a focus on client and team member communication, professional skills, and life/work integration. The ER Immerse program utilizes a hybrid training approach incorporating simulation-based didactic components into authentic training experiences with live patients. The curriculum is designed using an evidence-based strategy identifying competencies and skills deemed essential for a successful career as an emergency clinician.Applications are accepted year-round; however, mentorship positions are limited. To maximize your chances of securing a placement, we recommend submitting your application by November 1st. Applications received after this date will be considered as opportunities remain available. Work authorization in the United States is a requirement for the position. Surgical training provided. Always work with a dedicated mentor on shifts. No on-call. Competency-based curriculum that includes asynchronous learning on Vetbloom and weekly live virtual didactic rounds.
