About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Development for Children's Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a comprehensive fundraising program that supports the vision of improving the health of children and adolescents through the integration of clinical care, education, and research. This role involves managing a team of professionals, overseeing fundraising efforts, and ensuring that the program aligns with the strategic priorities of the organization. The Executive Director will be expected to identify and engage with major and principal gift prospects, as well as to lead strategic planning and prospect management for capital and naming opportunities. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree, with an advanced degree strongly preferred, and at least 10 years of experience in development, advancement, or philanthropy, particularly within a higher education or healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of securing significant gifts and experience in leading and managing teams. Special skills and competencies include a desire to make a difference in the lives of children, a focus on major and principal giving, and the ability to work collaboratively and independently across diverse constituencies. The role requires exemplary interpersonal skills, the ability to foster a supportive work culture, and a commitment to the values of the organization.
