Surgery - General Nurse Practitioner

Coverage Needed

• Start Date: ASAP
• End Date: 10/2/2026
• Schedule: Monday - Friday, Day/Evening, 40-50 hours per week
• Coverage Type: Inpatient ICU and step-down coverage

Clinical Details

• Average Number of Patients Per Day: Varies, up to 10 notes, phone coverage for all inpatients
• Patient Age Demographic: Adult
• EMR: EPIC
• APP will be working autonomously
• Role is non-operative and does not require any OR experience
• Supervising Physician Present: Yes, also Critical Care physicians
• Procedures: Central line, arterial line, chest tube placement, CT removal, wound vac changes
• Cover cardiac surgery ICU patients and join ICU/step-down team

Requirements

• AANP Certification
• Active New York License
• ACLS Certification
• EPIC experience
• No new grads; must have ICU experience
• Will accept providers with ICU/critical care experience, but cardiac critical care is preferred
