Health Advocates Network is currently seeking a Dental Hygienist Assistant to work at a facility in Detroit, MI. Pay Rate: $29 / hour Job Summary As a Dental Hygiene Assistant, you are an integral part of the care team in providing support to the office and assisting the professional dental staff with treatment. Responsibilities Prepare and set up treatment rooms, ensuring cleanliness and proper sterilization. Assist Dental Hygienists during patient treatment progress. Update patient health history and chart treatment progress. Expose and develop radiographs (if certified). Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care. Coordinate with clinical staff to manage inventory and sterilization of dental instruments. Support the hygienist with patient scheduling and treatment recommendations and office recall systems. Perform routine tasks while ensuring compliance with the industry regulations including HIPAA & OSHA. Required Skills & Experience Candidates must have at least Six Months of hands‑on experience as a Dental Assistant, Dental Hygiene Assistant, or in a Dental Assistant Internship to be considered. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Detail‑oriented with a commitment to patient care and comfort. Prior dental assisting experience. Preferred Skills & Experience None. Education Required: High school diploma or GED. Preferred: Associate’s Degree or certification in Dental Assisting. Required Certifications & Licensure BLS certification. X‑ray training or certification (Six (6) hour X‑ray training certification). Preferred Certifications & Licensure Certified Dental Assistant.
