Quality Specialist - 2nd Shift

Quality SpecialistWe are searching for a detail-oriented Quality Specialist to join our 2nd Shift Team! The Quality Specialist is responsible for monitoring the quality of products during manufacturing through inspection of parts for proper component installation, visual defects, and minute details. This role has a supervisory component with direct reports. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 2:40pm to 11:10pm with possible overtime and occasional Saturdays depending on production and operational needs.Responsibilities:Implement countermeasures to reduce and prevent internal quality problems and customer complaintsSupport testing of new products/process development and in-process testingInspect, test and measure products, components and materials using analytical equipmentAnalyze and report resultsSupport conformance to the Supplier Quality Assurance processReview quality procedures, documents and records for completeness and accuracyAssist in the development of procedures, work instructions, forms, standardized SOPs and other quality documents as neededAssist in the maintenance and improvement of the quality systemPerform system, process and product auditsProvide training on quality procedures and techniquesDrive continuous improvement initiativesParticipate in root cause analysis and verify effectiveness of implemented corrective actionsSupport Quality Department to maintain and update quality documents (i.e. QPRs, QIRs, etc.)Other duties as assignedRequirements:High School Diploma or GED requiredAssociates Degree preferredMinimum two (2) years experience in a Quality Field requiredExperience with corrective action/root cause analysis, supplier quality experience and Good Manufacturing Practices strongly preferredProficient with Microsoft Office products including Word and ExcelComfortable working in a fast-paced environment and effectively prioritize tasksAbility to stand, walk, bend, and stoop up to 12 hours dailyStrong and effective verbal and written communication skillsActively pursuing professional growth within the role through greater understanding of customer specific requirements
