Assistant Controller

Assistant Controller We're partnering with a growing, established company looking to add an Assistant Controller to their accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on accounting professional who enjoys taking ownership, improving processes, and partnering with leadership in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist with the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process. Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, financial statements, and supporting schedules. Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and internal controls. Develop and improve accounting procedures and operational processes. Identify opportunities to increase efficiency and strengthen financial reporting. Assist with external audits and year-end reporting. Partner with leadership on accounting and operational initiatives. Manage special projects and provide backup support across the accounting team. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. CPA or CPA candidate preferred. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with month-end close responsibilities. Previous experience as an Assistant Controller, Senior Accountant, or similar role preferred. Strong ERP system experience. Advanced Excel skills. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Self-starter with strong attention to detail, accountability, and a continuous improvement mindset.
