The Jane and John Justin Institute for Mind Health was created to provide a single point of care for children with disorders of the nervous system. The Institute opened in October 2023 with >100,000 sq feet of clinical space and houses the Departments of Neurology, Neurosurgery, Neuropsychology, Psychology, Psychiatry, Developmental & Neurodevelopmental Pediatrics, Developmental Psychology, Pain Medicine, and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Key Opportunity Highlights Seeking candidates, including 2026 fellows , with interest in joining a thriving Child Psychiatry practice primarily serving the patients of the Jane and John Justin Institute for Mind Health. Enjoy strong interdisciplinary collaboration and support from related specialties within the Institute combined with innovative clinic space that will facilitate the group’s collaborative care as part of the Justin Institute at Cook Children’s. Primarily outpatient clinical practice with opportunities to develop subspecialty interests caring for the psychiatric needs of children and adolescents with comorbid neurologic conditions. The role can also cover hospital-based services including the child inpatient psychiatric unit, partial hospitalization program, and psychiatry consults. Clinical research and teaching, while not required, are encouraged in your areas of interest. The Neuroscience Research Center at Cook Children’s, supported through a $15 million endowment, provides ample research support from dedicated neuroscientists and support staff. Qualified candidates may participate in the fellow retention program that will provide a monthly stipend of $2,500 from the time a contract is signed through the start of practice with Cook Children’s.
