Senior Accountant

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee day-to-day accounting activities, support financial reporting, and manage month-end close processes. This individual will help maintain accurate financial records, strengthen internal controls, and provide reliable financial information to management. Public accounting experience or an active CPA license is required. Candidates do not need both to qualify. Key Responsibilities Manage month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations. Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules in accordance with GAAP. Maintain the general ledger and ensure transactions are accurately recorded and classified. Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts, investigate discrepancies, and resolve outstanding items. Analyze financial results and explain fluctuations in revenue, expenses, and balance sheet accounts. Coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals, preparing requested schedules and documentation. Maintain and improve internal controls, accounting procedures, and reporting processes. Support budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial analysis. Partner with management and other departments to resolve accounting issues and meet reporting deadlines. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field. Three or more years of relevant accounting experience. Prior public accounting experience or an active CPA license required. Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and month-end close procedures. Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting or ERP systems. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines. Ability to work independently, communicate clearly, and handle confidential financial information. #J-18808-Ljbffr
