Cardiology physician job in New Jersey :

A New Jersey-based healthcare network is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner and/or Physician Assistant (PA) to join their Outpatient Cardiac team in Bergen County. This long-term locum opportunity offers the chance to manage pre- and post-operative cardiac surgery patients in an outpatient setting with a collaborative clinical team.

About the Opportunity:

• Shift: Day shift
• Schedule: Monday-Friday
• Hours: Four 10-hour shifts per week with one alternating weekday off
• Setting: Outpatient Cardiac Surgery Office

Responsibilities:

• Manage preoperative and postoperative cardiac surgery patients
• Conduct outpatient follow-up visits
• Evaluate and treat post-surgical cardiac patients
• Perform minor postoperative procedures, including wound debridement and packing placement
• Collaborate with cardiac surgeons, APPs, and clinical support staff to support patient care

Qualifications:

• Active New Jersey Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
• Current CDS and DEA
• Cardiac surgery experience
• Ability to independently manage postoperative cardiac surgery patients
