Remote Sr Healthcare Business Analyst

Overview A healthcare insurance provider is looking for a Sr IT Business Analyst to join their team remotely aligned to EST. The Senior IT Business Analyst will support a major strategic overhaul and consolidation of the grievances and appeals platform for a healthcare insurance organization. This role will partner closely with business, data, and engineering teams to modernize legacy systems, enable cloud-based integrations, and ensure accurate, compliant data flow across platforms. The analyst will lead requirements definition for complex backend, API, and data integration efforts, translating business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements across cloud environments. Given the visibility and criticality of this initiative, the role requires strong ownership, executive-level communication skills, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, highly regulated healthcare setting. Responsibilities Support a major strategic overhaul and consolidation of the grievances and appeals platform for a healthcare insurance organization. Partner with business, data, and engineering teams to modernize legacy systems, enable cloud-based integrations, and ensure accurate, compliant data flow across platforms. Lead requirements definition for complex backend, API, and data integration efforts, translating business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements across cloud environments. Demonstrate ownership, executive-level communication, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, highly regulated healthcare setting. Qualifications 7+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst Deep healthcare domain experience, including exposure to cloud-based healthcare platforms and legacy systems such as DB2-hosted or related databases Proven ability to write detailed requirements for backend systems, data integrations, and complex data flows across modern cloud environments (GCP and Azure) Strong understanding of data structures, database connection points, and how data is sourced, transformed, and consumed across systems Hands-on experience working with APIs, including REST and POST APIs, and using tools such as SoapUI to pull, validate, and analyze API data elements Senior-level consulting or enterprise experience with a demonstrated ability to perform in high-visibility roles with high expectations, executive stakeholders, and minimal oversight We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
