About Us

The McGallian Insurance Agency provides personalized insurance and financial services to help individuals and families protect what matters most. We are seeking an experienced, motivated Life and Health Insurance Agent to join our team full-time in our Clayton, California office.

Position Overview

In this onsite role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, with an emphasis on Medicare Supplement Insurance and life insurance planning. You will assess client needs, recommend appropriate coverage, support existing policyholders, and contribute to the agency's growth.

Responsibilities

• Generate and develop leads through outreach, referrals, and community involvement.
• Conduct needs assessments based on clients' healthcare, financial circumstances, goals, and budgets.
• Explain and recommend Medicare Supplement and life insurance products, including term, whole, and universal life policies.
• Assist clients with insurance applications, coverage selections, renewals, and policy updates.
• Build lasting client relationships through ongoing service, education, and follow-up.
• Coordinate with carriers and underwriters to obtain appropriate coverage and competitive rates.
• Maintain accurate client records and process required documentation.
• Stay current on insurance products, Medicare requirements, regulations, and industry practices.
• Meet individual and team sales goals.
• Participate in team meetings, training, and professional development.
• Follow all applicable legal, regulatory, licensing, privacy, and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience selling life and health insurance; Medicare Supplement and life insurance planning experience preferred.
• Active California Life and Health Insurance licenses required.
• Property and Casualty license is a plus.
• Strong sales, negotiation, communication, and customer service skills.
• Client-focused, ethical, organized, and detail-oriented.
• Comfortable working in a collaborative, office-based environment.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and use CRM and related technology.
• Self-motivated and committed to achieving sales goals.

Location

This is a full-time, in-office position in Clayton, California.

Compensation: $24.00 - $34.00 per hour

• Our office is open Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 5:30 pm .
• Before becoming a State Farm Agent, I was previously employed as a State Farm Employee.
• We currently have 3 team members at our agency.
• We have 50 years of combined insurance experience in our office.
