Shipping Associate

Shipping AssociateThe Shipping Associate will work with a team of material handlers that receives, stores, and prepares finished products for shipment to customers. They will also interface with internal/external customers, vendors, and delivery companies including GCM Drivers to deliver parts.Job Responsibilities:Kit, package, palletize, run packing slips/certs and ship orders to customers locally as well as long distance. Obtain certs from document control.Maintain inventory controlAssure data is correctly captured in ERP systemPlan transportation of shipmentsMaintain packaging suppliesAssure quality packaging and shipment of ordersCollaborate with Customer ServiceMay operate dolly, pallet jack, and/or forklift in loading and unloading supplies and equipment; may operate shrink wrap machine; may operate company vehicle to deliver shipments; may assist in routine maintenance of equipment and shipping area.Operate forklift or use hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipmentsMust be a team player as measured by his/her peersPerforms other related duties assignedRequirements:Required:High School Diploma or equivalent2-4 years of progressive experience working in domestic and international shippingPrior ERP Software experienceForklift driving experienceClean driving record and may provide backup to GCM DriversDesired:Someone who proactively addresses concerns and potential issues prior to them negatively impacting businessSomeone who is personally committed to owning the outcome of identified results with a proven record of success and ownership when achieving goalsA strong initiative with the ability to work independently or as part of a teamA problem solver with a solution focused mindset
