A fast growing, professionally managed primary care office seeks a Full Time Front Desk Receptionist, proficient in English and Spanish, for their Sarasota Office.

Job Responsibilities

• Greets patients and families to the practice, provides necessary registration form to the patient for completion and signature, reviews same for accuracy, updates patient information in EMR, and notifies staff that patient is ready.
• Efficiently and timely answers the phone and directs calls to the appropriate staff or records messages.
• Verifies correct insurance information via card, online tools or phone call to the insurance.
• Collection of co-pay or payments for services at each visit. Print and advise patients of any outstanding balance and collection of this payment.
• Using practice management system appropriately to schedule, reschedule and cancel patient appointments. Prepare appointments schedules periodically or as requested for physicians and nurses. Fulfills patient care responsibilities.
• Returning calls to patients with results.
• Adheres to infection control/safety guidelines and confidentiality policies.
• Perform other duties/tasks as requested by providers, coordinators, and management in accordance with office procedures/policies.

Minimum Education and/or Experience Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification of Medical Assistant Program and/or phlebotomy experience is highly preferred.
• At least 1-2 years of experience as a medical office receptionist.
• Prior EMR system experience required.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Bilingual (spanish speaking) is MANDATORY.

Compensation is based on experience.
