Overnight Nanny | Peninsula, CA | Full-time | $50/hour

Our client, a wonderful private family, is seeking a warm, experienced, and dependable Overnight Nanny to provide attentive care and support three nights per week. This is an excellent opportunity for a nurturing childcare professional who is comfortable working overnight hours and takes pride in creating a safe, calm, and supportive environment for children. The ideal candidate is responsible, patient, trustworthy, and able to work independently. English fluency is required. Additional language skills and Montessori training are a plus, but the family is flexible and open to candidates who bring strong childcare experience and the right overall fit.

What You’ll Do

• Provide attentive, nurturing care for the children during overnight hours.
• Follow the family's established bedtime and overnight routines.
• Ensure the children are comfortable, safe, and well cared for throughout the night.
• Respond appropriately to the children's needs during overnight hours.
• Help maintain a calm, positive, and supportive environment.
• Prepare the children for the following day as needed.
• Communicate with the parents regarding the children's overnight care and any important updates.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness related to the children's care.
• Follow family preferences and established household routines.
• Provide additional childcare support as needed.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous professional nanny or childcare experience preferred.
• Must speak English.
• Warm, nurturing, patient, and dependable personality.
• Trustworthy and discreet with a strong sense of responsibility.
• Comfortable working independently during overnight hours.
• Strong communication skills and good judgment.
• Reliable and able to commit to a consistent three-night-per-week schedule.
• Flexible, adaptable, and willing to support the family's needs.
• Experience caring for children overnight is a plus.

A Plus, But Not Required

• Ability to speak German, Spanish, French, or Italian.
• Montessori training or experience.
• Experience raising older or grown children.
• Experience working in a private household or with high-profile families.

Schedule and Location

Part-time overnight schedule of approximately 3 nights per week, 9:00 PM – 9:00 AM . The family is flexible regarding which nights are worked and will discuss the schedule with the right candidate.

Compensation

Targeting $50/hour , depending on experience and qualifications.
